Pump Classification

1. OH Pumps (Overhung):

  • Installation Type: Based on the coupling type and orientation, they are divided into Horizontal and Vertical configurations.
  • Mounting Method: Classified into six different types, including Foot Mounted and Centerline Mounted.
  • Power: Up to 500 hp (approximately 375 kW)
  • Applications: OH pumps are suitable for industrial pipelines and process industries, including petrochemical and power plants. Their design ensures stable operation under various pressure and flow conditions.

2. VS Pumps (Vertical Sump):

  • Size and Volume: Significantly smaller than horizontal pumps.
  • Applications: Ideal for pumping fluids from the bottom of tanks or deep reservoirs where horizontal pumps cannot be installed or operated.
  • Features: Compact design and easy installation, suitable for environments with limited horizontal space.
